Dr. Nord comes from a family of physicians, nurses, and allied medical professionals.
He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, PA from 1974-1978, graduating first in his class Summa Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Chemistry, then attended Medical School at the University of Pennsylvania from 1978-1982. He did an Internship in General Surgery followed by training in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia from 1982-1984, then completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania from 1984-1988.
He has been a partner in Berkshire Orthopedics since 1988. For over 30 years, he has provided personalized, non-“factory” orthopedic care. Each visit takes as long as needed. No physician extenders are used, and patients deal directly with Dr. Nord. State of the art surgical techniques are employed if exhaustive, non-operative treatments fail to work adequately.
He has an active interest in the full scope of Orthopedics.
He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and was re-certified in 2019. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a Member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Berks County Medical Society, and the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society.
